Over the past week I have prepared numerous footbaths, both at my own home studio and at the homes I have visited around Melbourne.
Footbaths require little preparation & do not take much energy or effort to offer, either to oneself or to another. Yet the power of this age old practice is always so moving to behold & to experience.
This particular footbath, adorned with rose petals, awaits a beautiful pregnant mother’s hardworking, ever generous feet.
I feel fortunate sit at the feet of so many people; men, women, young, old, children & teenagers... Bathing feet is one of my works’ most cherished offerings...
I feel humbled by the lives that I have the chance to witness, the stories that unfurl, the tears that often fall...
